
Allison Saleh graduated from Biola University with a bachelor's of music degree in vocal performance and minor in biblical studies. She has played numerous roles, including "Susanna" from Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, "Anne Page" from Merry Wives of Windsor, and "Belle" from Beauty and the Beast and was a featured soloist in several concerts at Biola University. Additionally, her original music has been featured in the children's film "Bands on the Run."
She has received awards from Intimate Opera Company and Los Angeles Chapter of NATS Collegiate Auditions and also participated in the California Opera Association in summer of 2010 as a featured young artist. Most recently, she was a featured performer at the Selma Performing Arts Center Fundraiser Dinner and in "Shep's Christmas Wish." She continues to perform all over the valley. She is the worship leader for University Presbyterian Church of Fresno and the lead singer in country cover band "Wheelhouse."
Due to a traumatic event, her music took a different direction entirely. Giving up a future in German opera, she formed a band, "SirenSinging." She was the lead singer and songwriter for the band. They released their first EP in March 2011. She became a prolific songwriter and still writes to this day. Through her music, she found her voice lost in the assault and is daily moving toward spiritual and mental wholeness. In 2020 she released her EP "Still I Rise" on all digital platforms. The follow-up LP will be released late 2020. She is inspired by her faith- positively and negatively- that she wrestles with. Lyrics deal with love, commenting on the often-turbulent waves of relationships. Honesty and authenticity in lyrics are important. To her, the best lyrics come from a real place and the music crafted reflects the meaning and moods. Music has always been a way for her to find her voice and use it.
In 2014, Allison became a registered Music Together (R) Center Director for the Fresno area and is is also a registered MYC piano teacher. She is now teaching Music Together Classes for ages 0-4 years old, piano and teaches voice lessons privately. In July 2015, Allison was certified through Shenandoah University as a Somatic Voicework(R) The LoVetri Method coach under Jeanette Lovetri. This form of teaching is specifically geared toward Contemporary Commercial singing styles such as pop, rock, folk, and jazz. She is active in continuing education, taking classes regularly in church music and singing methodologies.
She is available for private lessons and classes. She has taught at The Reedley School of Music, La Habra Music Center, and at TakeLessons.com. She teaches voice, piano, music theory, song writing, and performing technique. She also teaches drama and acting instruction. She started her business C'est La Vie Arts in 2014 and just turned 5 years old! Her students have been on TV, land lead roles in community theater, and have got accepted (with scholarships) into American Musical and Dance Academy (AMDA) & UC Irvine. In addition to this, she is an approved vendor with Inspire Charter School.
Allison has studied voice and acting under Randy Stump, Dean Rhodus, Dr. Jeanne Robison, Mindy Ramos, Edna Garabedian, Dr. Matthew Edwards, and Somatic Voicework(R) with Jeanette LoVetri.
